[10472] Keen Pomeranians - Keen Pomeranians Sells Puppies with Parvo and Will Not Refund or Exchange

I live in California and I purchased a puppy from Carol Keen at Keen Pomeranians in Decatur, Mississippi. When the puppy arrived he would not eat or drink. He finally ate a little bit and then would not eat again. He was very lethargic and was vomitting and had diarrhea. I took him to the vet within 24 hours and he had a strong case of parvo! The vet spoke with Ms. Keen and explained that he had to have had the parvo at least 3-5 days. The breeder is in denial and will not refund or exchange my money. She refuses to speak with me. She is very unprofessional and consumers need to beware and not buy a dog from Keen Pomeranians!keenpomeranians.com

  • It is so sad because Ms. Keen just made a remark on another complaint page that she is so happy about the publicity she is receiving from selling sick animals. She is happy because her "google ratings" are higher than ever. This is not the mentality of a person who puts her animals first. Consumers need to beware of buying from people like her because it is not the animals she cares about, but the money.

  • I am not the one that *gave away* your dog after only having him for 24 hours!!! This sweet healthy puppy was *LEFT* because you abandoned him!!! He had seen 2 vets and both of them cleared him. If you had taken him home like I begged you, or to another vet like I asked he would have been back home in my arms and this wouldn't be this way. I know you are mad but you are blaming the wrong person. Who you need to go after is the place that talked you into giving away your puppy.

    And yet again, I thank all those who have contacted me about this matter and there is an open invitation backed up with *GOBS* of paper work for anyone who wants to see it and contact me.

  • Hi Everyone!

    Actually, I am pleased to say that I have met many nice people because of this horrible incident. All the agencies that have been sent to talk to me, or to visit me and my dogs have cleared me of any wrong doing. We all agree this is just a really tragic situation and hope that others will learn to not make the same easily avoidable mistakes that this new owner did.

    I still welcome anyone who wants to talk to me. I think some people are just not able to grasp the concept of turning lemons into lemonade, though it is very had to do that in many cases in life. I love my dogs and my puppies very much which is why this whole mess started when this new owner *gave away* her dog due to false information after only 24 hours of ownership.

  • Wow, turning lemons into lemonade? That is exactly what Keen Pomeranians does: They sell lemons. They sell sick dogs and then expect the consumer to just smile and move on. I am glad that she loves meeting these people because she will be meeting more.

  • Just a question....if Parvo is such a contagious disease and the quarantine period is months of time...when why did none of Keen Pomeranians dogs get Parvo...only your puppy?

After I got him from her, she has been there to answer any questions no matter how small it was. I would buy a dog from her again and again. She truly loves and cares for all of her animals and is a very good hearted person. A very satisfied
