Sent to a friend[15349] Korean Air - Overcharge me USD$800 for shipping my dogs
I was sending my dogs back to the State from Hong Kong. Then I contacted Korean Air "KE", according to the sell person, the price that is base on the size of the cage and total weight, and suppose to be $25/Kg, then I decided to go with that, couple days later, there was another person contact me about the shipping, and they were trying to confirm that if I have all the necessary paper work ready and understanding the charge of this service, I gave them the size and weight of the cage, then they confirmed that I will be charge by $25/Kg.By the time I get to the import counter, they said I will be charge by the volume, which means the total weight of my dogs was 17.5kg, but they have to charge me for 47kg because of the size of it. My bill was supposed to be $437 and went up to $1175.
Here is the problem, I talked to two different person, and they both confirmed I will be charge by weight, even in some case, they will charge their customer by volume because of its size, I gave them the size, it's not like they don't know about it. But no one ever tell me until the last minute.
So I paid almost 3 times more than I was expected
