Sent to a friend[32623] FAA Financial Acquisition Agency - Letter asking for 20.00 fee
The company is sending very official looking letter from FAA, a phony agency, claiming that there is unclaimed money for me. It reads Payment Pending Memorandum. 2,342,000.00 and due to state laws all payments must be made by certified bank check. Asking for a 20.00 fee for processing. On the envelope it even has LEGAL NOTICE with postmark. Do not be fooled people!!!!!Posted 1 year ago

Posted 3 months agoReport - I recieved this today, people be aware that people are finding all kinds of ways to rip people off , they just want your bank account information, always do your research, if you have won any money, for God sake , why would you have to send money to get it. Beware of the red flags and always do your research .Sad ,These people are the only ones that will get rich ...

unreadable and nowhere does he print his name.
Also, there is no business letterhead and you
cannot find a phone number to call him
or a street address to go to, so you can thank
him for giving you this gift.
Posted 1 year agoReport - I received one also and thank God I decided to google this because I have been signing up for sweepstakes and I was wondering why do you have to send money to these people if its your money... Everybody wants a check or money order to verify your address, legal resident of the US or 18 years of age... It is ridiculous if you ask me!!! Thanks for posting this you were much help!

Posted 1 year agoReport - Yea I am gonna be a millionaire to. I sent a faux check to them and put thake the 20.00 out of my millions.... Did you read the small print on the back of page? It states once they get your finanical instatution info it allows them to withdraw monies from that acct. I guess they think that covers there asses...Thank goodness for Google......

Posted 1 year agoReport - I just received one of these letters saying I won 2,536,092.23 and they also added a account number #7413015836 ..stating that this was a tracking form and asked for $20.00 in a money order ... I'm so glad that I looked it before sending any type of money !!!! thank you god!!!!

To whom it may concern,
We have received an informal letter from the director of Financial Acquisition Agency stating that we have been selected to receive an amount of $2,536,092.23. However, many signs have pointed that this is a scam. There is no contact information including: email, phone, physical address and a representative listed. Also when being selected a winner of a sweepstakes, lottery, or even a raffle there is no obligation required to make a payment. Therefore asking for a $20 payment for processing fees is inconclusive. The next sign of scam is the small print on the back of the letter stating that “you” will have the right to withdraw and use “my” information to access my checking account upon receiving the express notice tracking form. With hesitation that this was originally a scam, despite the excitement, we decided to further research. Upon this research our results proved our suspicions true. This company is no more than a scam on innocent citizens of the United States. Companies such as this is a disgrace on what this country was built upon on. We advise that this scandal be stopped immediately before legal action is taken.

Posted 1 year agoReport - People probably do send $20.00 that's where they get the $ 2,536,092.23 is from people they have ripped off. Anything with a PO Box is a scam. Don't be fooled.
Posted 1 year agoReport - I too just received a very official looking express notice FAA saying I have $2,536,092.23 waiting in an account under account#7413053727 but no bank account info listed, no phone number or physical address to confirm and the FAA request a $20.00 transfer fee payable to FAA and a statement above the signature line to "Please rush my cash prize by bonded fereral carrier" it did not say "Upon receipt of your $20.00 your funds will be rush by bond federal carrier to me".
Thank God I just got Internet service and found your website other wise they would have gotten another sucker. I don't understand why our Goverment won't put a stop to this force Lotto Scam. Who wouldn't send $20.00 for a chance to win a million dollars but the notice does not say this is a sweepstake entry form and your entery fee of $20.00 is required for a chance to win. This is where our Goverment must step in and put a stop to this type of deception.

Posted 1 year agoReport - This is such a criminal act. I got the same scam letter today 03/12/12 asking for my $20.00 payment by cash, check or money order payable to FAA. They had the nerves to request that I send the money to a POB Box 527800 Miami FL 33152-7800 for the pending payment amount of $2,342,000.00 with tracking code 7422043590. I hope these crooks get caught before someone falls victim to this outrageous scam.

Posted 1 year agoReport - i hope that these people are caught and get the life penalty i got the same letter today and if it weren't for all of you i was going to send them the money today. my family could really have used that money to get out of a big financial hole and now the false hope of helping my family and saving my house is ripped away from me. these people are scum and i also will send my letter to the FBI as i encourage all of you to do the same. maybe if they get enough letters they will actually start to do something to stop these filthy leaches.

Posted 1 year agoReport - My son received this letter and got excited until he read the reverse side of the letter and it was so mumbled and did not make sense. Just like the other lady, I looked for a phone number or address and found none and ripped the letter and filed in circular file.

Posted 1 year agoReport - I have gotten so many of these letters I started saving them.Until I had 4 plastic bins fool.I too was sending money even though deep down I knew it wasn't right.I did soooo much research!!! It was amazing what I found. I still do sweepstakes and I still believe in them, but it's hard. And WHEN IT IS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT USUALLY IS.In NO WAY do you EVER need to send money. No money back green dot card. No Islander telling me his name is Tom Smith..lol..and with that attitude I actually befriended and conned the scammer/s.These guys have been calling for over a year now. I finally started cussing them out. They like that...lol.After yelling then over months having a conversation was funny. My first friend/scammer...lol...said he worked at a airport during the day and some one gave him my info and told him to call meand see if he could crack me. To make a long story short I met 2 men 1 told me the whole story of his life and how he got my info and who these people are. The other ended up giving me 2 peoples info...COMPLETE info. Bank account #'s, pin #, her routing #, her ss#, adress phone, D.O.B, and a mans info. I tried to call these people to let them know. I looked them up too..they are real people. This man wanted me to try to get her S.S checks every month. I went along with it to see how much info he would give me...it's crazy. They take money out of these peoples accounts everyday. Hopefully none of you put your card #'s down...if you did you might want to cancel them and check your credit report. Its just so sad how people like that can take advantage of others and not even care....sad.

Posted 1 year agoReport - I received the same exact letter on Friday, March 29. I almost sent the 20.00. Decided to check this agency out first. So glad I did. This is definely the stinky smell of a scam. Seems like everytime the hollidays roll around, the scam artists are out to hunt for innocent victims like us. Thank god for google. Not going to send the 20,00 Will rip the letter up in a few minutes. By the way, the money gets sent to the other scammers overseas somewhere.

I received a notice like everyone else, for the exact same money award, i.e. $2,536,092.23, a couple of weeks ago. I sent in the form, but without the $20.00, in case this was a scam. I have yet to hear from them re: bonded federal carrier (which I assumed was the US mail service. Having not heard anything in the last 2 weeks, I went on line and googled the agency. Needless to say, I'm bummed, could've used the money as I'm currently unemployed and can't seem to find a deceint job. I was currious of the fact that there was no phone number, no business address, or had great difficulty in reading the written name. I have to admit, the form did appear to be "official", what with the heading and numerical line code on the side. My account number is different, but only by a few numbers, i.e. 7423083537. I don't suppose I can sue 'em for the amount promised me. I just want them arrested and thrown in jail. It's just plane cruel, especially during these hard economic times. Thanks for having this web site. I appreciate being able to see what has happened to others, and not feel so fulish in getting my hopes up.

I have also received numerous letters from "sweepstakes" that I only need to send $7.95, or some such amount, for a fee for them to release my funds. Right.... I wonder how many people fall for this. Probably plenty for them to makes thousands and thousands of dollars.

My thoughts were this is too good to be true; so I tracked the name on the internet.So many people have been duped by these crooks. I am thankful I didn't waste any monies on this. The government needs to stop this.

Omg I just received the same exact letter , same yello Rapid Express envelope and the letter states I am a winner of $2,536,092.23 account number 7433067352. Ugh I swear these people got too much time, I am also glad I googled this "FAA" company now I think "FAA" should stand for " FALSE ADVERTISING ASSHOLES" lol I hate these people and why I am more mad about is that I had just made it back home from getting my kids from school and my 11 year old son took the trash out and said mom theirs a man with a yellow envelope at the door and I thought maybe it was like a jahova witness ir something like that so I said ugh just don't open the door then I look out side like not even 5 min later and I don't see nobody but the yellow envelope in my mailbox grrrrrr I am so mad I wish I would have seen his face my son described him a a young white or Hispanic male. These MOTHAFUCKERs have the nerve to come and knock at your door with this bullshit... They need to be put in jail. My son said he was walking and I look out and he's no where to be seen or a get away car. Omg lol I am so mad.

You never, never, have to send any money to anyone if you've won something! Please inform seniors about this scam! Our seniors can't afford to have money taken out of their accounts!

I didn't realize that there were so many others that received the same letter. I'm putting the letter back into the postage paid envelope and sending it back to them. I hope that they get caught!

Posted 1 year agoReport - I just got mine in the mail today and went immeditall y to google and found this site. I also have been plagued with a phone scam . stating that my credit card is not in defalt at this time but hit button 1 on the phone and talk to a live operator or hit button 3 and cancel your name off the list. First off I don't have any credit cards. I did what they wanted and hit button 1 and tpold them I don't call me anymore . This was 4 months ago and I'm still getting calls.

Posted 1 year agoReport - Mailman delivered official looking envelope with Express Notice from FAA saying I had been selected to receive $2,536,092.23 if I would initial, sign, and return the tracking form with a transfer fee of $20. That's when I googled Financial Acquisition Agency to confirm the scam as of 5/14/2012.
Posted 1 year agoReport - well i be damned, i to got the same exact document from these bastards. i be damned if i'm gonna be a fool and send them $20. i look at it like this if i did win $2,536,092.23 they can take it out of that for all i care and i'd even give them the remaining $72.23 of the $92.23 just as a way of saying thank you. so as far as i'm concern let them send the delivery guys here and with the check of $2,536,092.23 and i'll personally pay them a flat $100 for bringing it to me. i would also have a real party following. but again, i aint sending diddley squat. if i won, take the $20 out my winnings take the remaining $72.23 as a gift from me for delivering me this $2.5M

I receive a letter with return time on the 18 May 2012-could use that money for many thing but to deal with this kind of info which is not true-people need to get a life where you make your life more positive and not sending out fraud info-you have family that are very poor who would do this-TO THE PEOPLE WHO IS DOING THIS GET JOB WITH W2 FORM AND MAKE YOUR LIVING WORTHWHILE .

Posted 11 months agoReport - Yea..I just received one of those stupid letters from financial acquisition agency and it looks legitimate at first however there is no number or name to verify the signature. I never send money. I always research the company first. Please never send money especially with your account number. Folks are desperate these days they will get money anyway they can.
Posted 11 months agoReport - I also received a letter stating the same, however they ask to enclose cash, check or a money order. Who asks for cash to be deliver. All the signs are there that its a scam... no physical address, contact information(telephone number) or employee name as to who you should contact. SCAM!!!!!

Funny thing though, I'm hurting for cash and couldn’t have received this letter at the most worst of times.
However, the one thing I've yet to hear from anyone complaining about these crooks, is to put this in a lawyer's hand and send these crooks the $20.00 to their given PO BOX. and stake out that PO Box location to apprehend those crooks (Phone Video Them in action) as they enter their PO Box retrieving the letters/checks.

These letters has been coming in, since I started playing sweapstakes online, and it looks like they found my mailing address through that link. And really can't afford to have no one playing in my account! times are to hard for that CRAP!!!!! I had been playing PCH and i thought it came from them.

Posted 11 months agoReport - I recived a letter today 6-11-2012 stateing i was a winner too. When saw " send $20.00 " i new it was to good to be true. Later my husband googled the agency name, we saw the list of peoples complaints. I new i was right!!!!

Posted 11 months agoReport - Yes, got mine today. Looking at the dates on these reports makes you wonder who's not doing their job. They are much quicker to respond to the honest hard working person for some minor infraction. Looks a little bit like the old turn my head for a kick back might be what is slowing some action for justice. Corruption all too often exists within the ranks of those public officials who have taken an oath to protect us from such crap. May all of you who participate in such perpetrations burn in HELL with your ill gotten gains!

Posted 9 months agoReport - I received a letter today and laughed and told my husband if enough people sent them $20 a piece that they would have $2,000,000. in a very short time.Thank goodness I've helped uncover several of these gimmicks a few years ago and knew that it was a rip off. Just hope that they are tracked down and prosecute them before they take money from a lot of elderly people that need that $20. So many people fall for it without contacting BBB or another agency, computer, etc. Breaks my heart.

Posted 9 months agoReport - I also received this too good to be true letter. Same as the one described in the rest of the blogs. I took precautions and spoke to my uncle who is a lawyer. I did not send $20 cash or a check. I sent a money order which can be tracked for a $5.41 fee. My uncle has heard about "scams" like this before, but he had some very encouraging advice. He actually had dealt with a plaintiff that kept sending money to an agency similar to the FAA and the woman wound up winning in court and was awarded the promised money. I'm not advising anyone to send the money, but my uncle advised me to make copies of the original letters and follow up tracking my money order. I plan to fight in courts with my uncles help and hopefully I'll either wind up getting this FAA in seriousl trouble or being reimbursed or awarded some type of monies. If you think about it, a money order can be tracked and you're only giving your address and name. If someone wants to pursue my name and address with criminal actions, let them. I've been waiting to sue someone. But anyways, $20 is only $20, and if enough people take action on this faux agency, there will be legal consequences. Speak with attorneys and if you have the time, send reports to the BBB. Im an optimist and if you google "woman gets scammed for pennies and wins millions in court", you'll feel a little better if you care.

Posted 9 months agoReport - I just received the same scam letter. As soon as a read it I looked it up to see if they were ligit. I knew they weren't. How is anyone going to win a sweepstake and still have to mail a certified check to them. The small printed letter on the back of the letter is also suspicous. No letter head, no real signature. What a big fat scam.

Posted 9 months agoReport - I received this same letter a week ago in August. One the front it says unclaimed money on the back it states it is part of a lottery award. Face one on the front and face two on the back. I am not going to sue or anything like that, but I sure hope someone does and wipes this company off the face of the earth. Also, just because you are awarded a judgement in court against them doesn't mean you are going to collect. They may not have the amount you sued for and therefore there is nothing there to collect. The best you get is them out of business. But that only lasts long enough for them to change their name and start up again tomorrow and we go through this all over again. Just think if they send out 2 or 3 million letters and only half of them return $20, that a freaking fortune and they can afford to change their name every day. Unfortunately there is no law to stop them except your own common sense not to get scammed. Good luck.

All we can do as victims of this company scam is keep posting comments everywhere online about the company and their scam! ANY time one is asked to send $20 (or any amount) should alert folks that it is a big time scam. Of course they are probably rich on ignorant people sending $20 x ??? = millionaire. The FCC or some governmental agency should stop this. Free speech gone awry.

I'm laughing..this company is so ridiculous, how small of them to get our hopes up in thoughts of winning a million bucks...so sad:( they sent me a letter a few weeks ago, & the funny thing is that I checked it out online and saw another person with a copy that was posted on the complaint/scam blog...I said to myself smh, boy I'm so glad my momma always taught me to do research on everything before I set it in stone!!! Posted 8 months agoReport - Just received my notice today - glad I googled FAA as well... anytime there is NO NAME, PHONE NUMBER or detailed information - PLUS they Required the Winner to send MONEY - yup I was suspicious. Darn - what I could have done with that money. I too enter contests/sweeps so I had my moment of excitement...but of course TO GOOD TO BE TRUE.

I have been fortunate to win a contest on occasion, and just so you know, legitimate contests/sweepstakes send you detailed documents, and require a signed affidavit - notarized by your bank. They always provide complete sweepstakes rules/regulations, and complete contact information for any questions relating to the contest/sweeps.

These are crooks who need to be stopped immediately. Imagine how many people actually send the money and their acct info! I think I send this to the FBI as well.

Posted 7 months agoReport - I got this same letter Friday saying to get it sent back by the next week or forget it. 20 on a check, money order or cash. I signed it and then called my daughter who had my computer to look it up. Sunday she texted me that it was a scam and she would show me all the comments from people who got the same thing,. Looks like it has been going on for 7 months or more. I am In Michigan but have had a house forclosure, Seems it is targeting poor people. how are they getting this information and from whom? I like the idea of sending back toilet paper instead of money. the stamp is theirs.

Posted 7 months agoReport - I had a call this last winter, a man from Cayman islands, i refused whatever sweepstakes it was ,this man called back after i hung up and left message ,I'know you are home ' he left 3 messages throught the day,next morn i anwsered phone,my buddy from the Island, Quickly Itold him to %$%*(&_& do not call again as i have my phone company tracing our conversation,you will be getting a visit sooner than you think, although they pick up and go elsewhere, we do have a great site at our fingers, but feel bad for elderly, my grandmother fell for a few scams, not alot did she lose, but many lose their life savings, go away THEIFS!!!!!

Box and even have the FAA stamp in the left side of the check to make it seems like this is a good company, when its not. They need to be caught and spend some time in jail

That's why I knew exactly that this is a scam because you don't have to pay anything to win the money. Pls do not fall into this trap.

I decided to do a "fact check" with google n wasn't surprised it was a scam! I will forward this solicitation and check to the FBI. I know this is a scham, do not gel fool for this, that it is horrible to do this to a person that no have job and no money, it is very sad to do this.

Going through the comments this has been going on for at least 8 months.....look how many people have been sent the same letter for the same prize money amount but diferent account numbers! If all us DID send in $20 these scammers would be sitting pretty nice and counting on new victims to replenish. This is wrong and it should be stopped.

Posted 4 months agoReport - I just received my letter today 11/29/12 looked good for Xmas, but this is not the first time icould have been scamed. The first one came from a company called home shoppers, they sent me a 9,000.00 check & it was a check from bank of america, looked real. So I took the check to BofA they verified it was a a fake check. The manager kept the check to use as a teaching method for new tellers. I will be sending a copy of this letter to FBI, the more they get they have to take action, so if everyone sends this letter too them the better. Merry Xmas to you all!!!

I always had the thought this seems to good to be true. Red flags should've came up when they asked for money and only had a P.O. box which are difficult to trace no website no physical address and no phone number. This is a shame i'm sure alot of people didn't research this company and sent them money. Reading a few posts on here some from 8 or more months ago which raises the question how long has this been going on?

I told her it looked shady because there was no contact info and it was from a PO box. I'm sure there were other issues too. Thank goodness I told her to let me look it up before she sent her money. I can't believe there are such horrible people in the world!

Posted 4 months agoReport - I received a letter on 1-13-2013 from this same “so called” agency that I have a “Payment Pending”, of $2,342,000.00. I agree, these bastards need to be shut the fuck down! Who in the right mind would not investigate something like this? It says: We accept cash payments as well, by mail!!!! Come on!

Posted 5 months agoReport - I received same letter, before I sent anything I looked it up online, also if they say we have won so much money then they should take that 20 off the money and then send it over to us. That's why I knew exactly that this is a scam because you don't have to pay anything to win the money. Pls do not fall into this trap.

Posted 5 months agoReport - i just got one of those letters asking for a $20 transfer fee. something sounded fishy so i googled it & found it to be a scam ! there is no website for them, no phone # and all kinds of warning signs. it says my claim will be processed &cash account will be rushed to me by bonded carrier. notice, it does not say a check will be sent to me , so thats what made me a little uneasy to start with. dont send these jokers anything ! they are out there to rip you off!

I am gracious for all these postings. I received one in the mail today. At first I got very happy because I have been entering all the sweepstakes for publisher's clearing house, so I thought I won. I became skeptical because a $20.00 processing fee was requested. Therefore, I googled to see if this was a scam because I wondered why should I have to pay $20.00 for money that is owed when they can just deduct their fees from the winnings. Thanks again. MS

Posted 5 months agoReport - They very cleverly worded their notice, making it ambiguous. If you look at the legal import of their words, it can be said that they identified a payment to a winner of $2,536,092.23 due from another third party not them. They selected you and gave you an account number so if you were the identified winner then they would use this account to hold the money until they sent it to you. This is what they are charging the $20 for. WHAT A SCAM!
Posted 5 months agoReport - my mother get these all the time she is 85 about to be 86....they pounce on the elderly as she thought she was rich and wanted to send the money...why would the bank let you deposit such a check as they know these checks say NOT A CHECK-DO NOT CASH under the signiture!~ i have turned it in for her to the FBI as she gets at least 5 - 8 scam letters every day of the week wanting $20.00 or even as low as $9.00 some of them say Miami , Florida and variouse addresses please help your parents and friends with these scam mail letters!~

I always check with google first. I was right it bis a big scam. You never have to send money if you have won money. Just think of all the poor people that due send them the $20.00. 100 people $20,000 thats alot of money. And to think they get away with this stuff. The FBI needs to put a stop to this Company. And I hope to God that everyone checks with Google first. Remember the old saying there's no free lunch. It's a scam everytime. It's a sad World we live in. With scum like this in it.

I thought....PERFECT TIMING! I figured, I better Google....and found this...thank GOD! $20 is a lot of money now-a-days... SHEESH..... stupid scams!

Posted 3 months agoReport - Well we did call the company at first and it was like a lot of dumb people working there for they do not hear you when you say - no bank account - no checking account - no my husband has the credit card- so when they final transfered us for the fourth time we just hung up... now we have the letter from FAA and stating what they said on the phone RR you won the amount of 2343000 with a PO Box address only and the want of 20 dollars to release the funding that we as they say have won... Now with that kind of money why can't they pull the money out from the winning... LOL for real most company like the lotto get a cut for the winning number being paid out from there establishment... well go figure another day in pari-daze.... Thinki about it all the people you see on here saying they got asked 20 dollars add that up and now the ones who got riped off, and those who do not even chase the 20 dollars... that is a lot of money being made; not you winning 2343000.... well Karma will be as it shall to them yeah?

Posted 3 months agoReport - I got my letter today. After working a long day as a sous chef in a hot kitchen. I checked the mail coming in and found this. I was like hell yes don't have to work hard anymore. After carefully reading this, I am so glad I am not a sucker, push over, STUPID, and on it goes. The only thing I know is I will go to work tomorrow and be happy that I have a job. These people need to get a job and stop harassing hard working people.

Posted 2 months agoReport - My sister (72) who lives with me just received the same letter stating that 'Cash award total of over $2,536,092.23 identified and now pending payment' This my be the only thing on the letter that other than the return date of 3/7/2013 is which should let you know this is not real. This is the amount and date Publishers Clearing Date will award their prize. If you read the back, in so many words they say they only provide official rules and regulations for entry into Lotteries, Sweepstakes, ETC, and no one and there is no purchase to win a Sweepstakes. This just takes advantage of people who can not read between the lines. Trust my they know when all Sweepstakes are awarded and somehow find out who has entered them. Save you $20.00 and put in a saving account. Trust me, if you win Publishers Clearing house, they will come to you and not even ask for $20.00.

Since no postage is needed to send the envelope back, I did send them a little free surprise for all the people who have been harassed by these morons. Posted 2 months agoReport - Out of no where I just decided to look on the internet for FAA Fin. Acqui Agency and found this site. The really bad part about this scam junk mail that it is costing our post office millions of dollars for processing this crap and bankrupting it. The Postal Sysytem should track this down and get the FBI involved and prosecute these thieves. That's our money they are wasting.
PS Don't send the Postage free envelope back, thats just causing more postal money waste.
Posted 2 months agoReport - Sometimes I wonder if the Postal Admin. is not involved with these scams just too keep their jobs and show how necessary it is to handle all this mail through the system and how much it costs to do business. Maybe it wouldnt cost us $.47 cents to mail a letter and to keep in touch with our loved ones and families and all. WAKE UP POSTAL PEOPLE AND GO AFTER THESE FRAUDS.

Posted 2 months agoReport - I don't know why law agencies can't find out who owns the P.O. Box for the return envelope. It is P.O. Box 527800 Miami Florida 33152-9962. There must be some way of tracking down the people or person responsible for this scam. I am mailing my envelope back empty. Or maybe with a note that says F-you.
