Sent to a friend my wife and I purchased a modular home from Clayton Homes in Greensboro, NC from an E Russell Smith. That salesman disappeared after a while and the home was placed in the lap of a Zone Manager out of the Charlotte area named Bobby Alberts. He told me he would not complete my contract and that I had to take them to court. What gives this person the right to tell me that they are not going to complete an contract agreement and fix the issues on my punch list.We feel as though we bought a yugo from a used car dealer and our "dream home" is now the "Nightmare on Holder Farm Rd". I want to turn the tables and make this the nightmare for Clayton and make them fix our home to my satisfaction. Our punch list is attached if anyone wants to see it.

- It would not let me attach my punch list
Posted 3 years agoReport - What do you mean by 'punch list' ?
Posted 3 years agoReport - There is a 800 number in your contracts on the Consumer Complaint document, call it. If your punch list is cosmetic items, they are not under warranty. Remember you purchased a manufactured home at a fraction of the price you would have paid for a stick built home. When you signed your paperwork you had the opportunity to do a visual on your new home, anything you had issues with should have been addressed then. When your power was turned on , there was a final visual with the service tech or S/C Mgr, again another opportunity to list items covered that you wanted fixed. Did you watch the Homeowners Information Video?
Posted 3 years agoReport - I was told if I made a "punch list" that all issues would be taken care of. That is what I was promised and my contract says "complete home" that means when I am 100% completely satisfied with it it is done and complete...to this date it is not complete and the place just looks worse and worse with the popcorn ceiling falling off in 3 of the rooms. There is no expiration date on this contract and to this date I am still not satisfied with my house because it has never been completed. NOT WARRANTY ISSUES
