Sent to a friend[8104] Repair Master - False advertising
In 2006 I purchase a Sharp Flat Screen tv for over $2,000 plus a Repair Master service plan which provides in-home repairs. In June 2009 the set lost sound. I called to apply my contract with Repair Master to the repair. First I was told I did not register the set in 2006 however my notes indicated I did. Explanation - sometimes those computer pages don't take and you will have to register. Take 7-10 days for you to show up in the system.Time passes and again I call for the repair. I am told they will send me a box within 3 days for shipping to a controlled environment for repair. They will not estimate a return time but told me if it isn't electronic or mechancial they will charge me for the repair (and shipping no doubt).
This is an outrage! Their idea of in home service is to send you a box!!!!! And they have done everything they could to delay contact I guess hoping you will go for an outside repair.
DO NOT USE REPAIR MASTER for any service plans. Most frustrating experience I have had so far and I'm only beginning the process!
