- Oh - I forgot to mention but to be fair and honest, there was a link at the bottom of the email with a link to get removed. I clicked on the link and was assured that I would be removed from future mailings, however, they continued and that is why I am posting this complaint!
Anyone thinking of doing business with OnlyWebsites.com should think twice. If this is the kind of business they run, then it is certainly not a reputable business!
Posted 2 years agoReport - I am the owner of Only Websites and have been in business for 8 years. We have built websites for ESPN, Field & Stream and have built over 8,000 websites in the US. We have clients that we independent consultants that market from time-to-time and violate their terms of service as Barry has done.
We do market to clients through email but always follow the laws and rules of the CAN-SPAM act and act accordingly.
Posted 2 years agoReport - Did not complete or render as described promised contractual services. The Owner Daniel M. Todd has charged us the full total amount of $3,300.00 for a website without finishing or providing what they promised. Even thou we had a catastrophic fire which put our family business out of business we consistantly communicated with him and his company. He did not provide us with the described website and still charged the full amount of $3,300.00 without our authorization! He has left rude voice mails, sent unprofessional emails and has conducted himself in an unethical manner. He has complaints online for spam (goggle "onlywebsites spam") and does not have a great rate with the Utah Better Business (www.bbb.org) since he now has 3 complaints filed against him and his company. I tired to reason with him, but since it does not act in good faith, I am afraid I must use any and all resoures available in order to defend our hard earned money and prevent this form happening again to another person or company. We will go thru any expense and have the will and resources to make sure he does not profit unlawfully. This may not be "smart business" but it the right thing to do! BEWARE!!!! This is the type of character Mr. Todd is and runs his company accordingly. I sent below email and see his response: "Mr. Todd For the record, I dispute and deny all of your allegations and statements contained in your email. I have explained myself completely to your Vice President (Mr. Haddock) and at least in this case his recommendation to you for refund is absolutely the correct one. The only way we can have any agreement or dialogue it to refund the unauthorized charges on our credit card. If above demand is not met immediately and since we are in the process of taking any and all actions, we do have the will and resources to make sure you do not profit unlawfully. This may not be “smart business†but rest assured as I clearly explained to Mr. Haddock, under no circumstances this fraud will stand." The Owner Mr Todd response: "Dear The Owner- You need to read the CONTRACT you signed! Honestly, did you read it Mr. The Owner? Sincerely, Daniel M. Todd

They are extremely annoying although now they just go to my junk box. They have NEVER made telephone contact but just harass us with these pathetic emails. This is no way to promote your company.
Posted 1 year agoReport - Agree they are annoying people. I know being in business is hard, and everyone has to hustle to work as an independent business person. I respect that. But the email like the one from Oakley Wilson (if that is his real name because his initials OW are the same as Only Websites and his email had OW in it too).
My advise is to stop sending blind messages and instead to send real, verifiable list of sites he has built, with links and reference letters (scans will do) etc to build credibility.
If Daniel Todd is making a good living by converting people using emails like this, well, the old adage about a sucker born every minute must be true. I would never trust my business to someone who sends curt, abrupt emails that have a tone of complaint that I didn't call him back. Why would I he didn't present a value proposition in any way, shape or form?
